In the same way, it is a good idea to have a list of the most remarkable events during their reigns in France, Spain, and elsewhere, as well as a list of the most important events of the time. Paris, L. Sonnius, P. Mettayer, P. Chevallier, 1612. In folio, [3] f. (engraved title, dedicatory epistle and privilege of the king), 1344 p. (written 1340 by mistake), [15] f. (Tables). Binding restored in contemporary brown calf, spine, headpieces, corners and upper edges rebound in identical stained calf, spine ribbed with fleurons and title in gold, renewed endpapers, double gilt fillet framing the boards and arms stamped on the boards. Copy with the coat of arms and the motto "Membra non animum tegunt" of Nicolas Hennequin, baron of Ecquevilly who was appointed captain general of the hunting cloths and flags of the king and of the boar crew on March 6, 1642. (O.H.R., 2457) Numerous pagination errors common to all copies. Paper sometimes browned, some foxing.
