(Limited edition of 350 copies, this one of the 115 copies on Arches vellum of the second edition including two states of the engravings. The text is illustrated with copper engravings by Malo-Renault (1870-1938). Bound in cognac morocco signed by Henri Noulhac (1866-1931), with quadruple gilt fillet on the boards, gilt fillets on the edges, gilt lace inside, all edges gilt, gold cover. ill. cons. A bound copy with its subscription advertisement. Provenance: from the library of the equestrian champion Jacques Dogny attested by his engraved bookplate pasted on the back cover. Numerous and strong freckles, a scratch on the leather. Attached: UZÈS (Achille Lemot, pseud.) & LEROY (Charles). Le Colonel Ramollot. Paris, Marpon & Flammarion (Librairie illustrée), s.d. (1891). Fort in-8, viii, 312 p., [2] f., pl., red half-chagrin, spine ribbed. Text illustrated with a coloured fontispice and numerous engravings in and out of the text by Uzès (Achille Lemot). Slight marks on the leather, numerous and constant freckles.
