171 GARNIER (Auguste-Pierre). La Gloire de la terre. Paris, Garnier, 1917. Auguste-Pierre Garnier (1885-1966), poet from La Manche, took over the Garnier publishing house after the death of his great-uncle Hippolyte Garnier in 1911. Binding signed by Henri Blanchetière (1880-1953) in garnet morocco with ribbed spine, triple fillet on the boards, gilt fillet on the edges, gilt ornaments inside, all edges gilt, gold cover. Some faint alterations to the leather. We join : AUGIER (Emile). Lions and foxes. Paris, M. Lévy, 1870. In-8, 179 p., red chagrin, spine ribbed and decorated. Binding not signed but of good workmanship : triple gilt fillet on the boards, gilt fillet on the edges, gilt lace inside, all edges gilt. Leather slightly rubbed and spotted, freckles.
