Amsterdam, M. Colin de Thovoyon, 1616. 2 volumes in 1 oblong in-8, 466 p., [2] f., 490 p., without cover. First French edition of the Nassausche Oorloghen published by Colin the year before, published during the truce and giving precious information on the Eighty Years War (1568-1648). Copy without cover and incomplete of part of the text, but complete with its remarkable iconography composed of 179 full-page portraits, site plans, bird's-eye views of cities, battle scenes, depictions of crimes, executions and other facts of war (154 badly numbered in volume I, 125 in volume II). Lacking cover, title page of vol. I missing, 6 introductory leaves, unillustrated pp. 123-126 of vol. II, 8 leaves at the end, halos and bites on a few leaves, 5 engravings faintly inked, marginal inscriptions, last leaves detached, other minor defects. (Brunet, I, 703).
