15. [BÉVY (Dom Charles-Joseph). History of the inaugurations of kings, emperors, and other sovereigns of the universe, from their origin to the present. Paris, Moutard, 1776. In-8, xvi, 559 p., [5] p., pl., marbled basane, ornate spine, gilt frame on the boards (binding renovated in the 19th century). Written on the occasion of the coronation of Louis XVI which occupies the last chapter, the text describing the pomp is illustrated with 14 plates, most of them folded, reproducing about 80 French costumes from the 13th to the 18th century. Binding rubbed, headpieces missing, corners dulled, inscription in ink and institutional wet stamp on title page, other minor defects. (Colas, 320: Cohen, 144).
