Paris, Gabon & Crochard, 1822. 3 volumes in-8, xxviii, 597 p.; 668 p.; 508 p., Important work of the "Emperor of medicine" François Joseph Victor Broussais (1772-1838) which inaugurates, according to Michel Valentin "a colossal triumphalist monologue which will last nearly thirty years and will be expressed in more than forty volumes" during which Broussais maintains that in pathology everything is irritation and inflammation of tissues, especially those of the digestive tract.
