156. [Binding]. Bound in red morocco with the fanfare and the royal arms affixed later. L'office de la semaine sainte à l'usage de la maison du roy. Paris, J. Collombat, 1741. Gd in-8 decorated with a frontispiece, an engraved title of 3 hors texte by Humblot, numerous historiated bands and lettrines. Bound in red morocco decorated with a rich fanfare decoration. Spine decorated with ribbons and fleurs-de-lis. The decoration of the plates was made with an engraved plate. This central decoration is framed by a large frieze of foliage and flowers. Guilloche cups. All edges gilt. Superb copy in a fanfare binding, called "du dernier type", stamped with the arms of Louis XVIII (variant of OHR 2497-2 : without the 3 small dots over the acanthus leaves which frame the crown). Binding slightly rubbed.
