56. [Militaria]. Règlement arrêté par le Roi pour l'Habillement & l'Equipement de ses Troupes. Du 1er octobre 1786. Paris, De l'Imprimerie royale, 1787. In-4, xxxii p., 164 p., illustrated with 6 engraved plates and 6 folding tables, contemporary binding in marbled fawn calf, smooth spine decorated, red morocco title page. The plates provide models of embroidery, braids and buttons for the various military uniforms of the period. The tables provide a precise description of the uniforms worn by each army corps: infantry, dragoons, chasseur regiments, cavalry, hussars, royal artillery corps, etc. Binding rubbed, lower spine damaged, traces of wetness in gutter margin of pages 122-123. Browning in margin of upper corner of last 10 leaves.
