202. DULAC (Edmond, ill. and trans.), Rubaiyat by Omar Khayyam. Paris, Édition d'Art H. Piazza, s.d. [1910]. In-4, paperback, filled printed cover, illustrated with 20 color compositions by Edmond Dulac, laminated under captioned serpents. The Rubaiyat are a series of poems attributed to the Persian scholar Omar Khayyam (1048-1131), and the meaning of the word is quatrains. They were translated by Edmond Dulac from the English version by Edward Fitzgerald. This is not the first edition, of which there were 700 copies num. (Monod, 6520)
