237. PAUL (Evelyn). Set of 3 volumes illustrated by Evelyn Paul. Evelyn Maude Blanche Paul (1883 - 1963) was a British artist, famous at the time for her book illustrations. A great admirer of the Pre-Raphaelite artist Rossetti, her work is imbued with a variety of influences, including Japonism, art nouveau, arts and crafts and medieval illumination. - DANTE ALIGHIERI, ROSSETTI (Dante Gabriel, trans.). The Italian text was translated into English in the 19th century by Pre-Raphaelite artist, poet and translator Dante Gabriel Rossetti.
