- JOUDOU (Jean-Baptiste). Guide du voyageur aux bains de Bagnères, Barèges, St-Sauveur et Cauteretz. Paris, Lerouge, 1819. In-12, decorated with a frontispiece map and 3 etchings depicting views, contemporary binding, half-fauwn basane, smooth spine decorated with romantic irons. The work contains a description of the places, an itinerary of the mountains and valleys, the properties of the mineral waters, an overview of the customs of the inhabitants, etc. Rare second edition, and even very rare when it bears the date on the title page, as is the case for this copy, Labarère tells us.

In-8, one large folded map, contemporary binding in half tan basane, smooth spine decorated. The work contains descriptive notes on geology, botany, natural history, mountain exercises, local antiquities, the topography of the Pyrenees, and their principal thermal establishments. E.O. of the French translation, the true original edition appeared in English, in London in 1842. Copy complete with the lithographed fold-out map, drawn by A. Perret, with colored borders, which is often missing.
A large russet stain at the top of the introductory leaves.
