Album of various pieces glued to leaves, bound in streaked green morocco with gilding on the spine, boards decorated with a frame of gilded pampres, in the center of which is an iron with a lyre. gilt edges. The dedication of a watercolor by Grave Labat suggests that this collection was assembled by Philippe-Louis de Bordes de Fortage (1846-1924).
This album contains a drawing signed by Maxime Lalanne (1827-1886) addressed to a neighbor to show him what view could be obtained if he agreed to beat some trees, as well as 3 other drawings attributable to Maxime Lalanne, a landscape watercolor signed by Chevignard, two engravings by Jacques Callot on the crucifixion, 9 large painted initials on vellum taken from an antiphonary, 13 watercolors and washes from the beginning of the century of Gironde character signed by Gustave Labat (1824-1917), including one dedicated to Bordes de Fortage: pinasse à La Teste, paysanne de Villenave-d'Ornon, etc., an unsigned sepia watercolor attributable to Achille Devéria (1800-1857), a monument project, character sketches in pencil, watercolor and wash (anonymous but often remarkable in their execution), sanguines, a cul-de-lampe project, an animated view of Bordeaux quai des Salinières, a watercolor representation of a Napoleonic scene, numerous drawings signed with the red stamp "A. Marie" (probably Alfred Marie), several uniformed officers with comments for color in the margin, a nativity scene in ink signed Thomas Blanchet (probably 17th century), and many other subjects.
