318. CHRISTIE (Agatha). LDS dated June 7, 1962 on letterhead printed "Winterbrook House, Wallingford, Berks" on Clifford Bank watermarked vellum, 17.5 x 14 cm. The letter, written in English, is addressed to Madame Henri Duthil, who has related an anecdote linking a wine to Agatha Christie. "The last thing I would ever have expected was to have been taken as a reference for wine, being the only person in the family who doesn't drink wine!". Further on, Agatha Christie confides her preference for the character of Miss Marple. The signed, typed letter is accompanied by a stamped, travel envelope. Paperclip mark at top left.
