Brass achromatic microscope, circa 1830 Engraved "Microscope achromatique / Vincent et C. Chevalier / Opticiens brevetés / quai de l'horloge, n°69 à Paris". Louis Vincent Chevalier set up his first store on the Quai de l'Horloge in Paris in 1765. He joined forces with Charles Chevalier in 1829, when the business was described as "Vincent et C. Chevalier", before Charles Chevalier opened his own store at 163 Palais Royal in 1833. Vincent Chevalier continued at 69 Quai de l'Horloge. H: 46 cm x 21.5 cm Some stains and pitting
