The work is illustrated with a frontispiece, a dedication vignette and numerous plates in the text, all engraved on copper by Sébastien Le Clerc. In this work, each geometrical figure is set in an architectural decor of great finesse, or in a country landscape with trees, and is often accompanied by characters, sword fights, horsemen on horseback, peddlers, noblemen parading, etc. Binding slightly rubbed. Angular staining, marginal to the first 14 leaves. A consolidation in simili-japan at the edge of the blank reverse of the first 2 leaves.
