Nice, Le Chant des sphères, 1967-1969. 5 volumes, red morocco, spine ribbed decorated with a gilt sword fixed, upper boards decorated with an illustration pasted in a decorated circular window, gilt frame and cabochons in bouillon, gilt head. Each volume thus bound is housed in a slipcase decorated with a vellum headband featuring a color composition by Gradassi. Limited edition of 3000 copies, this one of the 25 first copies after 3 unique copies, numbered in roman numeral and containing three original drawings in color signed by the miniaturist Jean Gradassi (1907-1989), three studies in color, a headband in color, a suite in blue of Armot of the hors-texts and a reproduction in color of the large plate signed by the artist and framed. Set bound with its certificate of guarantee. First edition of the Arthurian cycle revisited by Joseph Pardo (1917-1990): King Artus, Artus's Fights, Lancelot of the Lake, the Quest for the Grail and the Death of Artus. The text is illustrated with 6 bands and 6 off-text compositions per volume, stenciled. Slight tear to one spine. Nice condition.
