A flight of naked witches, engraved in red chalk, adorns the header and the inner margin of the first page of the story. - 5 volumes of the collection Contes gaillards et nouvelles parisiennes published in Paris by E. Rouveyre & G. Blond between 1882 and 1884. Each volume contains a frontispiece and a plate, both printed on chine, and numerous sketches in the text.
