The first treatise is illustrated with 45 folded plates and the second one with 9 plates also folded Provenance: Jean-Baptiste-Claude de Suremain (1724-1810), adviser to the parliament of Dijon and lord of Missery, attested by his armorial bookplate engraved by Claude Roy (1742-1792) and pasted on the reverse of the boards. Corners dulled, damage to headpieces, traces of ink in the margins of 2 plates, other minor defects. Attached : LEROY (Charles-François-Antoine). Analysis applied to the geometry of three dimensions including surfaces of the second order, with the general theory of curved surfaces and double-curved lines. Paris (Bruxelles), Bachelier, 1829. In-8, xvi, 308 p., pl., half blond basane with smooth back. The treaty is illustrated with 5 folded plates. Binding slightly rubbed, old label glued to spine, institutional stamp on reverse of plate.
