Paris, Madame Huzard, An XII-An XIV (1804-1805). 2 vol. in-4, cxcii, 672 p. ; xiv, 948 p., pl., marbled fawn basane, smooth spine decorated, cold frame on the boards. Empire edition of the remarkable treatise by Olivier de Serres (1539-1619), precursor of modern agronomy, the first to scientifically approach all agricultural techniques in order to optimize them, from beekeeping to viticulture, including hunting, breeding, forestry, etc. The text is illustrated with a jovial portrait in the frontispiece and 17 plates outside the text.
Bindings slightly rubbed, splitting of the spine, small lack of leather, other minor defects.
