First edition of this sought-after work illustrated with 7 plates, 71 engravings, some of them stenciled, and 51 vignettes as well as a drypoint by Marcellin Desboutin in the frontispiece. "One of the best works on the breweries, taverns, cafés and caboulots of France, Germany and Switzerland" says Oberlé. The defects are minor.
